From start to finish they have been very communicative and informational about how they could save us money via solar, and how the whole process works. Then when they came to install the panels they worked fast and efficiently. They originally said it could take from 7 AM - 5 PM to do so, but they were done around noon. They were also very respectful of our space while we were there.

Any desire I had to work with you immediately left the moment I had some phone center dude hang up on me after I gave him the courtesy of at least entertaining his pitch for 10 mins because I said I wasn't interested.

I’ve had solar panels from Palmetto for a smidge under one year now. Late October 2023 install and early October 2024 review. I feel that overall my experience is a positive one, but there are several things I as a potential customer could have done better on, and a few the company could have done better on. First, the sales process. They’re not pushy. It was an efficient process from deciding to go with them until the panels were installed. And generally I am satisfied. However, one point of contention I have is they could have explained the rebate process better. We decided to go to solar because of a generous federal rebate which the salesman made it seem like we would be getting cash back which we could either put towards the cost of the system or keep. And come to find out, the rebate is in the form of a tax credit. Not a “discount” like we were led to believe. Furthermore, that tax credit only applies if you owe on your taxes. So if you’re getting a refund, you’re not able to take advantage of the credit. However, that credit does apply until it runs out (I think). Next up, they wanted an energy bill so they could estimate how many solar panels we would need. So we gave them our latest energy bill, which happened to be September and we hadn’t really used a large amount of energy. It would be far more helpful if they asked for a years worth of energy bills so they could get a more accurate picture of our households energy consumption. If they insist on going one bill, make sure you are giving them a bill with a lot of power usage so you are getting an adequate amount of panels installed. My next gripe ties directly into the last one; our energy bill is not zero as promised. We still get a bill from Duke power, albeit a greatly reduced one. I have a neighbor who went solar with the same company and she says she isn’t getting a power bill, only a solar bill. So I think we are mainly at fault there because we didn’t have enough panels installed. But I think the company bears some blame there, and getting a better picture of energy usage would in my opinion fix this. So overall my too long, didn’t read version is that you need to do thorough research into whether it’s right for you, and how to go about it if so. Don’t go in uneducated, which I am embarrassed to admit, we did.

I have had nothing but issues, and each time I have called they will "escalate the situation" but then nothing happens. I call again ask to speak to a supervisor 1st time they're not available, all in a meeting, 2nd time, they're not available they all left for the day, 3rd time they're not available all in training..... and so on and so on. Today I got a name of a person that is suppossed to be handling my transition as we just sold our house, but I can not talk to him, He doesn't have a phone, or an email, or anyway of communicating with the outside world. The company that did my install and did my design and explained everything, Demand company, absolutely great.... their finance company that they partner with is literally the worst. So good luck if using them, and you actually need anything more than paying your bill.

Sunova is deceptive and misleading. I was promised a flat rate of $257 per month with enough solar coverage to meet my needs — I was even told adding an electric car wouldn’t change my rate. The only exception, I was assured, would be if I installed a pool. Now, month after month, my bills keep climbing higher. I’m shocked to find out I need to purchase an expensive battery and enroll in yet another program just to cover my nighttime usage — essentially paying an additional bill on top of what I’m already paying. This entire experience has been a nightmare. They lure you in with false promises, then lock you into rising bills and hidden fees with no real path to resolution. Don’t fall for it. They lie, trap you in a web of confusing policies, and make it impossible to get help. Save yourself the headache and stay far away from this company.

I’ve had solar panels from Palmetto for a smidge under one year now. Late October 2023 install and early October 2024 review. I feel that overall my experience is a positive one, but there are several things I as a potential customer could have done better on, and a few the company could have done better on. First, the sales process. They’re not pushy. It was an efficient process from deciding to go with them until the panels were installed. And generally I am satisfied. However, one point of contention I have is they could have explained the rebate process better. We decided to go to solar because of a generous federal rebate which the salesman made it seem like we would be getting cash back which we could either put towards the cost of the system or keep. And come to find out, the rebate is in the form of a tax credit. Not a “discount” like we were led to believe. Furthermore, that tax credit only applies if you owe on your taxes. So if you’re getting a refund, you’re not able to take advantage of the credit. However, that credit does apply until it runs out (I think). Next up, they wanted an energy bill so they could estimate how many solar panels we would need. I found out much later after the fact that selling your electricity back to the grid is at a lesser rate than what you buy it from, so selling is basically out of the question. I also found out after the fact that the people who install the solar do not do good electrical work and left my "new" electrical panel with a number of errors and poor electrical work. I had to hire a separate electrician to come and fix their work to prevent exposed wiring and the constant housing blackouts... The salesman was super helpful but install took a long time and new the system had a number of errors and is unstable at best. Lately, they decided to make CURB, a an electrical monitoring system which was included at the time of install, a now subscription based service. Now I am down another slot in my electrical and will have to pay someone to come remove it.... 10/10 would recommend you look elsewhere for your solar needs.

Upon review of our home our power bill our roof structure and every other thing that they wanted to audit we felt like we made a good choice, that is until the installation was delayed throughout the entire summer, all the permits were failed more than three times, and then initial startup of the system and it only worked for 10 months. It's been 4 years and 68,000 later, and we still don't have a working system. Good luck trying to get someone to communicate with you. The only good person in that company is Juan, our experience with them has been nothing short but terrible if you want to pay a solar payment plus a power bill every month and still not have any type of working system or compensation for all the money you spend go with elevation. That is an honest review just like any other one that talks about the installation problems and issues ETC

[Sales Associate/Project Manager] was wonderful in this whole process. he looked out for me every step of the way. Now I can't say there weren't hiccups in this process however it has been 6 weeks since the install and completion and he has still followed up and made sure things are still getting done. when I reached out to the company and had concerns, he would always answer and respond. he didn't always get me answers the same day, but he would at least reach out and show me he was still trying and that he didn't forget about me. when it comes to cost of the roof its comparable to most companies however, however what sets them apart is the warranty. the warranty is second to none its a crazy 25yr workmanship. they still reach out here and then to wish me a happy New year's and keep in touch along this process. Josh did me a good service for my home and I'm grateful the roof install was two days about 20 hours and the panel install was 8 hrs. I'm content with their services and even when I noticed and issue with the install everyone was extremely professional and direct about getting it fixed and moving forward.this whole process was quick aside from meeting with the Hoa. I will definitely be reaching out again if they still maintain this standard in the future!!

I attempted to use EnergyPal to get solar done for my home but after months of back and forth, I cut bait and will never work with this company again. Below I'll explain the key areas in which they utterly failed me. I started working with them in February '23 and ended up ending things in November of the same year.

They failed to get my project grandfathered in under the NEM 2.0 law, despite telling me via email that they had. There was a lot of time pressure early on in the project so that this could be achieved, and in June I was assured that we had. It wasn't until November that I was told that the project was not grandfathered in. When I asked why and what happened, they explained to me that they made an error in the paperwork. Great...

They failed to be an adequate facilitator between me and SunPower, the company whose equipment we were using for the project. This manifested itself in several ways, notably letting me know in November that I wouldn't be able to put the solar battery on the exterior of my house. I was consistent in stating that this was important to me throughout the middle and late stages of the project. Ultimately, the reason I wasn't able to do this was because I live within a mile of the ocean, but damn...they've known my address the whole time. Nobody thought to let me know until November?

They came to me with a $5,000 price hike just before we were supposed to start work. Their rationale made sense; I have a flat, rubber roof and they needed some extra materials to make that work. However, the way they went about it was shady as hell. One day, I got a phone call from a 3rd party saying they needed to get on my roof to check something out. These folks are nice enough to talk to on the phone, and the deal (initially) was good, but their consistent lack of understanding and follow-though made the relationship a nightmare that I'm glad to say is over. I couldn't imagine choosing anyone worse to put something on your roof that's supposed to be there for 20-30 years.

I found out much later after the fact that selling your electricity back to the grid is at a lesser rate than what you buy it from, so selling is basically out of the question. I also found out after the fact that the people who install the solar do not do good electrical work and left my "new" electrical panel with a number of errors and poor electrical work. I had to hire a separate electrician to come and fix their work to prevent exposed wiring and the constant housing blackouts... The salesman was super helpful but install took a long time and new the system had a number of errors and is unstable at best. Lately, they decided to make CURB, a an electrical monitoring system which was included at the time of install, a now subscription based service. Now I am down another slot in my electrical and will have to pay someone to come remove it.... 10/10 would recommend you look elsewhere for your solar needs.

Upon review of our home our power bill our roof structure and every other thing that they wanted to audit we felt like we made a good choice, that is until the installation was delayed throughout the entire summer, all the permits were failed more than three times, and then initial startup of the system and it only worked for 10 months. It's been 4 years and 68,000 later, and we still don't have a working system. Good luck trying to get someone to communicate with you. The only good person in that company is Juan, our experience with them has been nothing short but terrible if you want to pay a solar payment plus a power bill every month and still not have any type of working system or compensation for all the money you spend go with elevation. That is an honest review just like any other one that talks about the installation problems and issues ETC

I attempted to use EnergyPal to get solar done for my home but after months of back and forth, I cut bait and will never work with this company again. Below I'll explain the key areas in which they utterly failed me. I started working with them in February '23 and ended up ending things in November of the same year.

They failed to get my project grandfathered in under the NEM 2.0 law, despite telling me via email that they had. There was a lot of time pressure early on in the project so that this could be achieved, and in June I was assured that we had. It wasn't until November that I was told that the project was not grandfathered in. When I asked why and what happened, they explained to me that they made an error in the paperwork. Great...

They failed to be an adequate facilitator between me and SunPower, the company whose equipment we were using for the project. This manifested itself in several ways, notably letting me know in November that I wouldn't be able to put the solar battery on the exterior of my house. I was consistent in stating that this was important to me throughout the middle and late stages of the project. Ultimately, the reason I wasn't able to do this was because I live within a mile of the ocean, but damn...they've known my address the whole time. Nobody thought to let me know until November?

They came to me with a $5,000 price hike just before we were supposed to start work. Their rationale made sense; I have a flat, rubber roof and they needed some extra materials to make that work. However, the way they went about it was shady as hell. One day, I got a phone call from a 3rd party saying they needed to get on my roof to check something out. [Sales Associate/Project Manager] was wonderful in this whole process. he looked out for me every step of the way. Now I can't say there weren't hiccups in this process however it has been 6 weeks since the install and completion and he has still followed up and made sure things are still getting done... I'm grateful the roof install was two days about 20 hours and the panel install was 8 hrs. I'm content with their services and even when I noticed and issue with the install everyone was extremely professional and direct about getting it fixed and moving forward.this whole process was quick aside from meeting with the Hoa. I will definitely be reaching out again if they still maintain this standard in the future!!

I been a costumer for 3yrs and it been nothing like I was told. My electric bill is still high. The 1st time I told them they said I needed more panels, mind you they did the first set of panels and said it was enough. Now I have two systems which means two bills on top of my high electric bill that they said would go away after the second system. That hasn't happened so now I feel like I'm being scammed. I will never refer you to anybody and hopefully this review will stop people from using Trinity solar.
